De Stedelijke Boer - LaternBasket
‘De Stedelijke Boer’ is about an food system, that takes place in an urban environment.
The idea was to create a new public food system that brings the market back to the citizens themself (no import/export), and saves time and money.
A new micro economy.

These baskets were placed around the pole of a street latern.
In the night, the baskets would go up.
In the afternoon, they would drop to the middle.
And when the vegetable looks ‘ripe’ , or you want to take a sneak peak, you could lower the basket to chest-height.



The latern basket can take up to 9 herbs, or other plants/food. The webcam enables monitoring for the system.

On the main page you find the overview of the village. Every yellow ellipse stands for a full laternbasket. A red one is empty, and a blue one is on reach height.
